I have taken the walk 3 times (4 by the end of the month) even when I couldn't make it to a show. I bought one pair of Toms and plan to buy more by or before next summer. I continue to spread the cause to anyone with the ability to listen and will follow Hanson in their future indeavours. We have more power as a group but thanks Allyson and Shelli for taking a chance alone by creating this site. Keep walking! -Mimi |

Yesterday, I went down to Baltimore with Allyson, her husband Isaac, and their grandmother for Hanson's 90th walk.
I believe it was my 5th walk, however I could be wrong. I plan on figuring that out soon. ;)
Between me having a hurt ankle, Isaac having a hurt/recovering foot and Gram, we were behind the walk for most of the duration, but we didn't mind. We all took our shoes off, even Gram! At one point, Allyson sent me ahead because we were so far behind that we were losing sight of the other walkers. I kept up with the walk and thanks to Allyson sending me ahead, I was able to achieve one of my goals that I had set for the day- to tell a member of Hanson about this site.

I'm going to South Africa to volunteer!
I think I'll be working with little kids, which will be awesome.
I think others should really think about doing it...
the program I'm going with is called Cross Cultural Solutions
I will gladly post pictures when I get back if anyone wants me to!

So far I have walked in Baltimore, MD; Lancaster, PA; Sayreville, NJ; and Falls Church, VA. This fall I will be walking in Baltimore, MD; New York, NY; Atlantic City, NJ; Asbury Park, NJ; Lancaster, PA; Montclair, NJ; and Philadelphia, PA. My husband has joined me on three walks so far (on crutches!), and will be joining me on six more this month! I am also working on this website, IHaveHope.net to help promote the walks and to inspire others to donate to TakeTheWalk.net. |
